Configurating the blog

September 9th, 2007 · 6 Comments

Now I’ve managed to choose my theme  and I decided to stay with the default one. I just did little modification with the header and sidebar.

I added some ads to hopefully get some earnings and sitemeter to follow up, if there is any visitor here yet, and to see, how my promotion will work. I also added the sitemeter to my promotion page.

Next thing to do is to add the blog to blog lists, and turn my every link to point at here.

I’d recommend throwing the SiteMeter as far as you can. They’ve started pushing ad cookies with the counter cookies. Use Google Analytics instead, you’ll get better stats too. :)

By the way, the single page layout blows. Seriously.

    No it does not ;-)

I removed SiteMeter and replaced it with Google Analytics.

Yes, looks better now. Only the link colors bother me, dark links are almost invisible on the black background, and visited links (light gray) are difficult to see in comment boxes.

It’s seems to take a while to choose a theme…

    Haha, yes it does :)
